ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A sentence has been handed down to a man who pleaded guilty to murder and armed robbery in 2023 crimes.

Jerry Watkins, 26, was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of second-degree murder, attempted first-degree robbery, felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of first-degree robbery.

Prosecutors said Watkins killed Frederick Jett during a robbery on August 28, 2023, near Glen Owen Drive and Bahama Drive in Ferguson.
