ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. (First Alert 4) - A fatal crash has closed all lanes of northbound I-255 near I-64 in St. Clair County, Illinois.

Police say the crash happened just after 2:45 p.m. A car going southbound on I-255 crossed over the median and hit a car that was going northbound.

The driver of the car going southbound died. The driver of the other car was taken to a hospital.

All lanes of northbound I-255 are closed, traffic is being diverted onto I-64.
