ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The driver of a dump truck died Thursday after a crash on Highway 30 in Jefferson County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol told First Alert 4 the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. near Medley Estates Road, which is near Northwest High School.

MSHP said the dump truck left the road, went down an embankment and into trees. As of late Thursday afternoon, crews were still working to remove the truck from the crash site.

Troopers said the truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
