, after years of continuances in court, on July 14, 2026, Sutton pleaded guilty to 42 counts of deceptive business practices and one count of felony stealing.

Customers are glad the case has come to a close, but say it has left them feeling burned.

Sutton received a ten-year, suspended prison sentence if he meets the terms of his probation and repays victims $257,000. He must make $4500 monthly payments starting September 1, 2026.

Sutton is also banned from owning or operating a home improvement company.
