Brandon King, 21, faces charges of first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action after police found the 43-year-old woman dead inside a car on July 12, according to court records. A probable-cause statement said that security camera footage and license plate recognition hits showed a car traveling to North Newstead Avenue before slowing down while crossing St. Louis Avenue. As the woman's vehicle crossed the intersection, footage showed muzzle flashes from the suspect's car and audio of gunshots, the statement said. The woman's vehicle crashed into a nearby light post while the suspect's car drove away. St. Louis police arrived on the scene and found the woman dead in the driver's seat with two gunshot wounds to the head. King admitted to being the driver of the suspect's vehicle with two other passengers inside, according to the statement. One of the passengers said they saw King holding a gun in the driver's seat after the shooting. #firstalert4 #crimewatchstlouis
