CEDAR HILL, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Friday night one man is dead, and another was injured after a shooting.

The sheriff's office told First Alert 4 deputies responded to a call for a shooting in the 7300 block of Lakeshore Drive in Cedar Hill just before 6 p.m.

Deputies said when they arrived on scene, one victim was dead outside a home, while another was found near the scene with what they believe was a gunshot wound.

First Alert 4 was told that victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, but the seriousness of his injuries was not given at this time.

Detectives are currently working with the sheriff's office's crime scene analysts to get more information.

At the time of publication, there was no information on a potential suspect(s) in the shooting.
