ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Major Case Squad was assisting the Pontoon Beach Police Department after a fatal shooting Sunday.

Police told First Alert 4 Pontoon Beach officers were called to the 4000 block of Pontoon Road early Sunday morning for a report of shots fired.

Police said a 34-year-old man was found there with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a St. Louis hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Pontoon Beach Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad.
