The incident sparked outrage among the community and speculation about how it happened. First Alert 4 reported the deputy is a 23-year-old who joined the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department in July, following a short stint with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Berger family has asked people not to threaten the deputy or his family, saying they don't believe he meant to hurt her. But they are also asking for answers and accountability. First Alert 4 is choosing not to name the deputy at this time. The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control handled the investigation into the alleged threats. An MSHP press release said investigators were made aware of the Facebook account's posts on Thursday. Jaster was arrested in Desloge, Missouri. He is being held in St. Francois County on a $200,000 bond. #firstalert4 #crimewatchstlouis
