ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man is recovering after being shot in downtown St. Louis.

Police say it happened on Washington Avenue before 11:30 p.m. on Monday night.

The man was walking when he heard gunshots and then realized he had been hit in the leg.

Police took him to the hospital, where he was stable. Investigators have not identified any suspects.
